The love that started it all
Some of the most meaningful parts of who I am come from the two women who helped raise me: my mother and my grandmother. They gave me love, strength, and a foundation that stayed with me even after they were gone.
I lost my mother when I was 23. My daughter, Dasia, was just six months old. Six months later, I lost my grandmother. In such a short time, the world I had always known changed completely.
But the love they gave me never disappeared.
Three generations, connected
The words “Little Bits” in our original artwork are my mother’s actual handwriting. Butterflies and gardenias were her favorites, and they are part of the way I carry her memory forward.
My daughter and I share matching tattoos. One carries “Little,” the other “Bits,” each with a butterfly. Three generations, connected by two little words and a lifetime of love.
A place for your story, too
My own journey is still unfolding. I don’t have all the answers. What I do know is how much it matters to feel understood when life is difficult.
Little Bits Healing grew from that feeling. A place for honest conversations about grief, recovery, relationships, starting over, and the small moments that help us keep going.
You don’t have to be completely healed to offer encouragement. And you don’t have to have the perfect words to be heard.
